Online shoppingOnline shopping is the new thing to do, you can order anything you want from any country and get it delivered to your house without any hassle .
Although that might seem like a great idea! There is always problems. So I’m just share my own knowledge about this new technology. 1- The wrong size . You should always read about the return policy at any website you shop from . Some website would return your money some would just exchange it with something else which is fine as long as you don’t lose money in the process . But be careful some website you need to pay your own shipping money that you might end up paying more if you send it back . So my advice is read the fine prints. 2- The right material . It’s great to get a cheap dress but sometimes you get the dress and the material is so bad that the dress looks horrible. Make sure you zoom in to the picture and try and see how thin the dress is and if it’s stretchy that’s usually bad from my own experience. 3- The right size . Usually websites have a size chart because each country uses different sizes, make sure you read what size the model is wearing too it’ll help give you a better idea of what size you might need as well . 4- Not what you ordered . You can’t trust every website you see you need to read reviews or even ask people you know If they have ordered from that website . Don’t be put off if something goes bad it’s okay it’s a learning process . And try and start with something cheap for your first order to gain trust In that website if you want to order something expensive later on at least you know you won’t be wasting your money. W 5- Tip . I don’t recommend ordering pants online , as we all know pants are one of those items you need to try on first before wearing so avoid it for a while or until you are confident with what size you have to order or find a trust worthy website that exchanges easily and have a good return policy or take a risk cause again you won’t know unless you try. Thank you for reading and again let me know if you have any questions. |
What will be your staple piece this winter ?!Oh winter how I’ve missed your outfits, the long jackets, the boots and scarves; I love winter clothing. Not many people would share my joy but I’m actually excited this year, the Winter Fashion Week in Paris gave us something to look forward to, I say we should all get ready for the season! Everyone needs to start looking for the winter essential pieces that would help them deal with this season, in style.
Lets get started with the coats and the jackets; make sure you have the basic colors black and brown are always a win! I think people have a tendency to wear dark colors in hope that it’ll keep them warm, I believe that's an outdated myth. I’m a very colorful person during all seasons, so I still wear colors like red and green in winter. Whatever I can find that stands out but is still classy and would suit adding to my wardrobe. An idea would be to look for items that you know would match more than one of your outfits, this way you can maximize it’s use while switching up the looks. Word of advise; each year the designers come up with a new trending design for the winter season, but still maintain the classic looks- so be careful to distinguish between; new yet still classic, and the old/outdated. To stand-out from the rest when buying a piece, DON’T go to the mainstream places people generally shop from. In my opinion Ponsonby Road (for those familiar with Auckland City) boutiques and New Market area boutiques are both great places to start looking for those special/unique one-off items, if all fails try online! Plan a date, get out there, spend time checking out the stores… you might end up spending more on an item than what you would normally pay, but trust me it’ll be worth it. Which brings me to the next point. Not everything expensive you see is worth it, so check out the material, the workmanship of stitching etc. it tells you a lot about what your buying, that’s how you know you are paying for something that's quality and will last. Sometimes we rush and buy from the first attempt at shopping for an item, if you are looking for something in particular, you need to keep looking until you find that one item that you absolutely love. Ask friends with similiar taste (honest friends), people you trust- they can tell you if something looks special on you! I’ll be posting more about winter fashion and the best way to get ready, but for now hope this helped a little, and keep checking my Facebook page “The world of H” to see photos that might give you a better idea on where to start and what looks you should aim for. Ask me questions if you have any, I’m only too happy to help :)) |
No Trend 2016 !!So I Read in the NZF website blog that this year the trend is no trend as in everyone is just wearing whatever they want and there is a no must have pieces. WHAT !!How can you not have a trend without a trend no one would buy things people might as well wear their last year stuff, if anything I think this year the talent and design is just beyond the ordinary. It started off in PFW and what a great start to the year the streets of paris were full of people coming from all around the world to be the first people to know about this seasons must have items, I loved BALMAN , ELLIE SAAB, ZUHAIR MURAD, MIU MIU , VALENTINO , GIAMBATTISTA VALI , STELLA MCCARTNEY ,CELINE, LOUIS VUITTON, DIOR and last but not least CHANEL. Every single brand had its own pieces to show off and there own story to tell and a trend to start. One thing I noticed is that colors and prints are big this year but they all agreed on the elegancy and classic looks, the gowns from ELLIE SAAB AND ZUHAIR MURAD even DIOR were to die for, the coats from CHANEL, CELINE, MIU MIU and STELLA MCCARTNEY were amazing each piece is different than the other piece and each was a center of everyones attention, lets not forget the magic of VALENTINO from his dresses to his suits to his coats it was my favorite show the colors the design the prints were nothing like I’m used to seeing, the runway was a 100% winner for me.The venue for CHANEL was the best I’ve ever seen such a creative idea, since runways are a big part of the show. It honestly makes and breaks it the first impression is the most important one as we all know and having an amazing venue is a great start. specially since It’s for one of the biggest names in the fashion industry. This year started off with an amazing show I don’t know how these designers will think of something better, I really hope the New Zealand deisgners see the amount of effort and details and thought that are put into each piece to creat such amazing runway, All I’m waiting for is what will this year bring since last years NZFW was just exciting, I’m honestly looking forward to this years event of the year.
